On the road again to Yuma

If it seems like Kathryn and I were in Yuma just six weeks ago, it’s because Kathryn and I were in Yuma just six weeks ago. Now we’re on our way back, not just as a stop this time, but as a destination. Our good friend Dan is in town for a few days on family business, and we’re going to enjoy everything Yuma has to offer. After that, I’m not quite sure how we’ll spend the rest of the weekend.

  1. I hope that you’ve really enjoyed Yuma, Curt! I will definitely have to have a look at that place thanks to your post! 😉

    1. Honestly, Agness, I wouldn’t have spent the weekend in Yuma if I didn’t have a good friend who was there to take care of some family business. There’s exactly one interesting thing to see in Yuma, and that’s the Territorial Prison. It’s a museum on the site of a prison from Arizona’s territorial days. It’s worth a stop if you’re ever driving from Phoenix to San Diego. On the other hand, if you have the time to deal with the northbound border crossing, a diversion to Mexicali is worth the trip, even if only to enjoy some of the distinctive Chinese food they serve there.
